This site is run by one person. It shows advertising and measures traffic, and that is the extent of the data collection.

What is collected
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 records pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. It is used to see which pages are worth improving. It is not used to identify individuals.
Advertising
Advertising is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or read existing ones to serve and measure ads. In some configurations this includes personalised advertising based on your prior browsing.

If you subscribe to updates, your email address is stored by the newsletter provider and used only to send those updates. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the address.
What is not collected
There are no accounts, so no passwords. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and never sent to a server or stored.
Your choices
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, a consent banner appears before any advertising or analytics cookie is set. You can decline, and you can change your mind later from the link in the footer.
Personalised advertising can be switched off for your Google account at myadcenter.google.com, independently of this site.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to request a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, or complain to a regulator. In the United Kingdom that regulator is the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any of these, email the address above.
Retention
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics, at most 14 months. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Children
This site is aimed at car buyers and owners. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made quietly.
