Owner data

Everything logged from one BYD Yuan Plus, bought new in November 2024 and driven by one driver in Santiago, Chile. Owner data, kept apart from anything BYD publishes.

This is the BYD Yuan Plus, the version sold in Chile of the BYD Atto 3 sold in the UK. Same 60.48 kWh LFP (BYD Blade) battery, 150 kW motor and 4,455 / 1,875 / 1,615 mm body, figures BYD UK and BYD Chile both publish, so consumption is treated as transferable; the onboard charger does not. This car takes 7 kW AC and 80 kW DC verified (BYD Chile ficha técnica Yuan Plus 2026.07), so the charging sessions below describe this variant and are not the UK car's charging behaviour. Costs are in CLP, as billed, and are not converted.

Owner data

Charging sessions

10 sessions logged, 263.2 kWh from the wall, 78,567 CLP paid, 299 CLP/kWh on average.

Energy is the wallbox meter or the operator's receipt, never the car. The car does not display the energy received when a charging session ends. A blank cell means the value was not written down, not that it was zero. The last four columns are worked out from the logged ones: the state-of-charge swing, the price paid per kWh, the energy drawn per 100 points of state of charge, and the average power over the session.

Toward a measured charging loss

The site still assumes the share of mains energy lost between the wall and the battery; the method says how the log will replace that assumption. It needs sessions with a large enough swing, because the display rounds to whole percent, and at least 10 of them in each class before anything is published. Where the log stands:

Home AC, swing of 40 points or more7 of 10 (9 logged in this class)
Public DC, swing of 30 points or more1 of 10 (1 logged in this class)
kWh from the wall per 100 points of state of charge, per session. Hover or tap a point for the date and value.

Not enough yet. The kWh/100 SOC column is shown per session because it is the raw quantity that method uses; no average and no loss figure is published from it until the counts above are met.

Monthly readings

Odometer and lifetime average consumption, read from the car's own lifetime-average display on the same day. The lifetime figure is the counter that is never reset; trip counters go in the measurement log on the car page.

Battery capacity checks

None logged yet. A check is a full charge from a known state of charge with the wall energy metered, repeated to the same protocol; the first one will appear here with its date and the energy recorded.

Journeys, including the reference route driven both ways, are in the measurement log on the BYD Atto 3 page, next to what BYD publishes. Nothing on this page is blended into the calculators: how owner data and manufacturer data are kept apart.
